近日,FX168财经网与Angelo D'Alessio进行访谈交流,Angelo D'Alessio分享了他加入TradeMax的动机和原因。
以下为英文采访原文:
FX168: Hi Angelo, Could you please introduce your background and your working experiences?
Hi everyone, my name is Angelo D'Alessio, I am Italian, and I moved to Australia 7 and half years ago.
In Italy, I have been working for Vodafone, Coca-Cola and Alitalia (the main Italian airline) over the course of 8 years.
Since I arrived in Australia, I initially worked in the marketing department of a gaming company for 2 years, I later led the digital marketing team of a hospitality business (for 1 year) and I have then worked as a consultant for several clients including 2 FX brokers. I then finally landed in IC Markets, where I managed the Marketing team for over 3 years.
Marketing has always been part of my life, one way or the other, and I've seen how marketing strategies can be applied to pretty much all aspects of our life, make it funnier and more interesting in many ways.
FX168: You left IC markets as CMO and joined TradeMax, at such high level of success, there must be some great eager behind this move. please share them to the audience of FX168?
I think all companies (or at least majority of them) work very hard in order to get to the highest possible level of success, growth, revenue and customer satisfaction.
In IC Markets we reached an extremely high level of popularity and clearly, only time will tell us if this success will keep growing further or not, but where I want to go with this is that it's easy for company leaders to feel satisfied when things are going well, they might end up lowering their guard against the competition, being less open to change, becoming rigid in their thinking and, eventually, believing that the other players will never get to the point where they (the industry leaders) are… You become very confident and that might lead you to slow down a bit, and that can be very dangerous for marketers.
I am someone who always needs new stimulus and challenges, also, I need to be in an environment that welcome change and experimentation, and I didn't want to fall into the trap of confidence, so I decided to look for a new place where I could learn more, hopefully replicate the level of success I've seen in my previous experience and eventually do even better than what we did in IC Markets.
I was lucky enough to be in a position to consider different offers, and I've identified in TradeMax and its team, the one that better suited my needs and my skill set.
Based on what I could see and understand of the business before making my choice, I believe TradeMax has what it takes to expand its reach all over the World, and obviously, grow even bigger in their number 1 market: China.
FX168: Most FX168 users know TradeMax quite well. Do you want to make TradeMax the next IC markets or a whole new different style?
The short answer is… NO, I don't want to see in TradeMax the next IC Markets.
I think every business is unique in what it does and how it achieves goals. While the industry can be the same and the products and pricing very similar, I think it would be a mistake to have as a goal to 'copy and paste' what you have seen and done in your past experience.
TM has done an excellent job in China and this has allowed the company to lay the foundation to go to the next level and become one of the new market Leaders.
So, to answer your question, the 'TradeMax style' will be the style of an extremely successful broker with the addition of some unique and exclusive features that will make TM stand out in the Forex industry (and not only).
With new resources, new offerings and a new website coming soon, you definitely want to stay tuned and see what TM has to bring you in the near future.
FX168: Joining Trademax during the worst pandemic period, from a personal perspective, what is the biggest challenge you face?
Yes, this is probably one of the worst period ever in our recent history, and financial recovery will take a while but, as mentioned before, I like challenges.
The world goes by phases, this pandemic is one of them and as such, it will be over.
Personally, having my family in Italy, I'm quite concerned about the situation considering Italy was one of the Countries most hardly hit by the pandemic, but I keep in touch with them on a regular basis. For what concerns my life in Australia, I've experienced and still experience the problems that everyone else is facing, things like not being able to have our normal life, to travel, to go out with friends.
Business wise, the pandemic and the global financial crisis is obviously influencing the trading activity drastically and it is now more important than ever for traders to trade with a trusted and reliable broker.
FX168: How do you think you are going to fit into the TradeMax team?
I've just joined the team at TM, but I can tell that fitting into the team seems easier than I thought so far. Surprisingly enough, the Italian and Chinese culture have more things in common that you can imagine: we both are extremely proud of our food and history, we both talk loud, we both are 'historical migrants' and wherever we go we do quite well (you can tell we are also humble ;) ) and most importantly, we are very flexible in business, and adapt our strategy and plan along the way in order to reach our goal.
I'm starting to believe that if Italians were Asian, we would be Chinese, and if Chinese were European, you guess it, they would most likely be Italians.
FX168: At this stage, the FX industry is changing dramatically around the globe, Such as regulation, leverage, media, marketing. Let's get to your areas of expertise.
True, there are a lot of changes going on, but it is also true that the FX industry has always been a very dynamic industry, and it will always be.
I also believe that with frequent change, new opportunities come out, and as long as you are willing (and you are ready) to adapt, then you are going to win the game.
No matter how many changes will come, CFD trading won't cease to exist, it is essential to the financial (and the online) world, and traders will always want to trade. The popularity of a product may increase or decrease, but trading will be thriving for a very long time. Finally, I believe that regulations and advertising restrictions are going to be beneficial for traders since it will ensure that CFD providers of 'questionable reputation' will not be able to be in front of the eyes of potential clients and investors. The past has allowed brokers of dubious quality to increase their visibility while this shouldn't have happened.
From the leverage point of view, some regulators might decide to lower it, but clients will be able to decide to trade with an entity (from the same group) that allows higher leverage, as long as the broker that offers it, is a trusted and reliable one. In the end, an Australian or European licensed broker will always offer the same level of safety and quality service to its clients, regardless of the entity the client is trading with, and if it doesn't, it will be out.
Like in all industries, it's a matter of reputation, keeping it high is the main goal here and in order to be trustworthy, you must keep offering an excellent service to your clients. The traders are clients of the Brand, and the Brand is represented by the group, not by the individual license they hold.
FX168: How to quickly adapt to the changes and development of various regions in the world, and create strong branding in the regions by using local language?
And yes, targeting other Countries with local languages is definitely part of the strategy, but translating your message is not enough, our goal at TradeMax will be to 'localize', rather than translate. That means going beyond translation, adapting our content and embracing the culture of the Country we want to target.
We will make sure our clients will know that on the other side there is someone who fully understands and comprehends their needs and requirements, with no language or cultural barriers.
A lot of things are changing in the FX industry, and a lot of things are going to change in TradeMax in order to make it the Global benchmark in the FX World.
FX168: We just talked about a lot of work-related things. In the end, let's talk about something personal, who are the three most important people in your life? what words do you wish to tell them if you are too busy at work?
As you know family is of paramount importance to Italians, so the answer is pretty straight forward: my parents are the most important people in my life, they made me who I am, they pushed me to become a better person (and they still do), they always supported me over the course of my life, even when I decided to go and live 15,000 km away from them.
The third person is obviously my partner, I can be very fussy sometimes and she is always very patient with me, so she deserves a spot in the top 3 ranking ;)
The message for all of them is always the same: "I love you all and please, be patient, I'll make myself free sometimes in the future" :D
FX168 wish you and TradeMax all the best, bring better services and trading products to global traders.
